Mixing:
The recommended mixing ratio of filler to hardener is 50:1 by weight. This ratio is not completely critical although the more hardener you add, the faster it will cure and don’t forget…, even with the standard mix you only have about 2-3 minutes to apply before it goes rock hard!. In order to mix the Easi-fil; simply add the hardener (small sachet) to the filler on a mixing board and mix thoroughly. Mix as if spreading it out to prevent air becoming trapped.
Application:
Apply the material using a spatula or steel trowel, a smooth finish can be easily achieved. However, when filling ‘larger’ areas, if the product does need smoothing out after it has cured, this can be achieved with a sander and / or diamond grinder.Another major benefit of Easi-fil is that it can also be applied to the primer, before application of the top coat. It is often the case that once the priming has been completed that this can make other imperfactions stand out that had been previously missed. Simply repeat the application with the spatula or trowel and then make sure you leave it smooth before applying the top coat. Finally, another major benefit of Easi-fil is that it has been formulated to accept accept any Polycote top coat without the need of any further primer.
