Preparation:
Thorough substrate preparation is essential.
The surface must be free of and loose / friable material, laitance, and any further contaminants that may prevent adhesion. Any remains of previous coatings should be removed by means of scabbling, shot-blasting, diamond grinding and/or steam cleaning.
Edges should be cut back to a minimum recommended depth of 10mm-50mm. Joints should be cut to 25mm.
Any exposed steel should be completely uncovered and abraded to a bright finish, and any rust or corrosion removed and primed with Polycote Rustex.Priming of concrete is not required, however the surface should be dampened to reduce suction.
Mixing:
Cretex Deepfill should be mixed using a mixing paddle attached to a drill. Slowly add the Cretex Deepfill powder to the pre-measured supplied liquid. Mix for approximately 2-3 minutes.Ensure thorough mixing as an unmixed product will result in a poor or non-cure situation.
Application:
Priming is not required. However, to ensure satisfactory bonding to the substrate, the prepared surface should be dampened down to minimise suction.Fill and level the area to be repaired ensuring good compaction of the product. The product should be levelled to a flush finish with the surrounding area using a trowel or float. If a stiffer consistency is required, some of the product should be pre-worked into the substrate using a stiff broom and then the bulk of the product poured in the repair.
